Link

A link is something that links one thing to another thing. For example this link came from clicking the link on the help page under the heading Links.

A link may also be one of those things to stub one's toe against on the foc'sle, only to realise there's bleedin' hundreds of them and why didn't I notice them before?

Septics have links but these are allegedly sausages (or snorkers - thank you The Cruel Sea) but are smaller than anything we might recognise as a sausage, and taste lke nothing ever tasted before.
